5th Annual International Peace and Human Rights Film Festival, Spain

The International Film Festival of Peace and Human Rights of Spain is part of the founding member HRFN´s. The Human Rights Film Network (HRFN) was officially launched on 18 April at the Mayor of Prague Residence, within the framework of the 6th edition of One World Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.
Human rights film festivals are staged each year throughout the world and film selections specifically dedicated to human rights issues have also been programmed within other international film festivals. The idea of a Human Rights Film Network arose out of informal contacts between these festival coordinators. It was inspired by the shared goal to offer films dedicated to human rights issues. The network will serve to further the activities of individual festivals and to build on existing synergies and coordination between festivals.
HRFN aims to promote human rights films through festivals, broadcasting and educational use; to promote human rights film festivals and assist established and emerging festivals and to provide an international supportive environment for filmmakers focusing on human rights, in particular those whose lives are at risk or who are repressed by censorship.
Thanks again to everyone for your enthusiastic support of the festival in the last editions. This year, the number, five, is going to be spectacular: performances and presentations, filmmakers, artists, musicians, poets, dancers, students, as well as local activists organizers and community leaders.
